Collections help you group related products together, while product and collection links make it easy to share your store on WhatsApp, social media and other places.

What are collections?

A collection is a group of products that belong together.

Think of it like a shelf or section inside a physical shop.

For example, you might create collections such as:

Back to School
Best Sellers
New Arrivals
Under MWK 10,000
Summer Essentials

Collections make it easier for customers to find related products and can make your store feel more organised.

Create a collection

From your seller dashboard:

Open the products page https://www.tambalamarket.store/seller/products.
Select New Collection.
Add a clear title and short description.
Choose the collection type if Tambala asks for one.
Add a cover image, or use the available automatic cover option.
Select the products you want to include.
Save the collection as a draft or publish it when it is ready.

Use a name that tells customers immediately what they will find inside.

Back to School is clearer than something vague like Special Collection 1.

Choose products that belong together

A collection should have a clear purpose.

You might group products by season, use, price or customer need.

For example, a clothing seller could create:

Workwear
Shirts, trousers, dresses and shoes for work.

Weekend Looks
Casual clothes and accessories.

New Arrivals
Recently added products.

Avoid putting unrelated products together simply to make a collection look full. A useful collection helps the customer make sense of your store.

You can update the products inside a collection whenever your stock or focus changes.

Edit and manage your collections

If you need to change a collection, open it from the Collections page and select Edit.

You can update the title, description, cover image or products inside it.

If a collection is seasonal or temporary, you do not have to delete it when it ends. You can archive it and bring it back later if needed.

For example, a Back to School collection may only be useful at certain times of the year. Archiving it keeps the collection for later without showing it to customers now.

Delete a collection only when you no longer need it at all. Deleting the collection does not delete the products inside it.

Add a product to an existing collection

You can also add products to a collection while managing the product itself.

Open the product, choose Add to Collection, then select the collection or collections where it belongs.

This is useful when you add new stock and want it to appear in the right parts of your store immediately.

Share a product

Every published product has a link you can share.

Open the product and use Share, or copy the public product link.

You can send it through WhatsApp, post it on Facebook, add it to a social media post or send it directly to a customer who asked about the item.

Whenever possible, give people a reason to open the link.

Try:

New stock of Samsung Galaxy A54 is now available. See the price, photos and full details here: [link]

The message should help the customer understand why the product may be useful to them.

Share a collection

Sometimes it makes more sense to share several related products together.

For example, instead of sending five separate school-product links, you could share your Back to School collection.

Open the published collection and copy or share its public link.

This works well for:

New arrivals.
Seasonal products.
Best sellers.
Promotions.
Products for a particular type of customer or need.

A collection gives customers somewhere to browse after they open the link, rather than showing them only one product.

Keep your store organised

Collections are most useful when they stay current.

If a collection contains many unavailable products, update it. If a seasonal collection is no longer relevant, archive it. If you add strong new products, place them where customers are likely to look for them.

You do not need dozens of collections.

A few clear, useful collections are better than many that overlap or confuse customers.

Use collections to help customers choose

Collections are not only for organising the store. They can also help you guide customers towards useful products.

Best Sellers can show customers what other people often choose.

New Arrivals can help returning customers quickly see what has changed.

Under MWK 10,000 can help customers shopping within a budget.

Back to School can bring several related needs into one place.

Think about the customer first, then create collections that make shopping easier for them.

Your store should be easy to browse and easy to share.

Use collections to group products in a way that makes sense to customers. Use product links when you want to promote one specific item, and collection links when you want people to browse several related products.

The goal is not to create as many collections as possible.

It is to help customers find what they need with less effort.
