Once your products are live, you will need to keep them accurate.

Prices change. New stock arrives. Some items sell out. Photos may need updating. A product may need to be paused for a while.

Keeping this information current helps prevent cancellations, overselling and customer confusion.

Open a product

From your seller dashboard:

Open Products.
Find the product you want to manage.
Open the product.
Select Edit.

You can then update the product details.

Edit the product information

You can change things such as the product name, description, price, category, condition, brand, stock, images, variants, etc.

Only change information that is still true for the same product.

If the item has become something completely different, it is usually better to create a new listing instead of changing the old one into another product.

For example, changing the price or improving the description makes sense. Turning a listing for one phone model into a completely different phone does not.

Keep your price and stock accurate

Update your price whenever it changes.

If you are using a compare-at price for a genuine discount, make sure both prices are correct before saving.

Stock should also match what you actually have available. Tambala reduces stock automatically when customers order through the platform, but the system cannot see sales that happen somewhere else.

If you sell the same item from your physical shop, market stall or another channel, remember to update your Tambala stock as well.

Accurate stock helps prevent customers from ordering something you no longer have.

Adjust stock when something changes

Sometimes stock changes for reasons other than a Tambala order.

You may receive new stock, accept a customer return, find damaged items or discover that the physical count does not match the number in the system.

Open the product and use Adjust Inventory to record the change.

Choose the reason that best explains what happened, such as a restock, return, damaged item, missing item or manual correction. If the product has variants, make sure you update the correct size, colour or other option.

For example, if the system shows ten bags but you count only eight, reduce the stock by two and use a manual correction.

If ten new bags arrive from your supplier, add ten using a restock adjustment.

This gives you a more reliable record than simply changing numbers without explaining why.

Manage products with variants

If a product has different sizes, colours or other options, each one may have its own stock.

A shirt might have plenty of medium sizes left while large is already sold out.

Check the stock for each variant rather than looking only at the total product quantity.

You can also update the price or availability for individual variants where needed.

If you add or remove major product options, review the whole listing carefully before saving so customers understand exactly what is available.

What happens when stock runs low

When a popular product is running low, decide early whether you will restock it.

If more stock is coming, update the quantity when it arrives. If the item will not return, allow the listing to become unavailable or take it offline when appropriate.

When stock reaches zero, customers should no longer be able to order units that are not available.

Do not reduce stock manually after every Tambala sale. The platform handles normal order stock changes for you.

You mainly need to adjust stock when something happens outside that normal order flow.

Update photos and descriptions when needed

A listing should continue to represent what the customer will actually receive.

Replace old photos if the product has changed. Improve a description if customers regularly ask questions that the listing should already answer.

Small improvements are useful, but do not make changes simply for the sake of activity.

The goal is accuracy.

Changes that may need another review

Some edits may be saved immediately, while larger changes may need Tambala to review the listing again.

A simple price or stock update may not affect the identity of the product. A major change to the product name, category, condition, images or options can change what the customer believes they are buying.

If Tambala asks for another review, follow the message shown in your seller dashboard. Make the required corrections and submit the product again.

Check your products regularly

You do not need to edit products every day, but you should keep an eye on them.

Check regularly that your best-selling products are still in stock, that prices remain correct and that unavailable items are not being presented as available.

From time to time, also review products that receive little attention. They may need better photos, clearer information, a different price or simply removal from the store.

A clean, accurate catalogue is easier for both you and your customers to manage.

Is the price still correct?
Does the stock match what I really have?
Are the photos and description still accurate?
Are all sizes, colours or other options correct?
Should this product still be published?
Would a customer understand exactly what they will receive?

If the answer is yes, the listing is doing its job.
