Start by checking everything

Before preparing anything, open the order and read it carefully.

Check what was ordered, the quantity, size, date or booking details, and how the customer expects to receive it.

Give the customer what they chose

Before sending or confirming the order, compare it with the listing.

If they ordered size 42, check that it is size 42.

If they booked specific dates, make sure those are the dates you prepare for.

A surprising number of problems happen simply because someone was rushing.

Take the extra minute.

Keep the customer informed

After paying online, customers want to know that somebody is paying attention.

A short update can make a big difference. In the Tambala order detail page, you can update the order status and the customer gets a notification and email about the status of their order. Its very important to always update the status of the order.

This helps to make sure that customers are not left wondering what is happening. If something goes wrong - use their contact details and let them know early.

A delay explained before the deadline is much easier to understand than silence after the deadline has passed.

Fulfil properly

The customer should receive what your listing promised.

Pack products carefully.
Follow the selected delivery or collection arrangement.
For events, make sure the customer knows how to use the ticket.
For accommodation, send the information they need for arrival and check-in.
Keep the order status updated where required.

Good fulfilment is one of the simplest ways to build trust.

Ask what the order taught you

After the customer receives what they bought, take a few minutes to think.

How did they find you?

Did they ask something that should have been explained in the listing?

Was anything difficult to prepare?

Did delivery take longer than expected?

Did you almost run out of stock?

Every real order shows you something about the business.

Use what happened to make the next one easier.

Ask for an honest review
